The Project

The Academy Math Game: Epsilon is a computer desktop application designed to help students of all ages refine their arithmetic and number sense skills. It is designed and maintained by a team students at the Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies.

The game was first conceptualized by Ms. Sofia Vaksman, an Academy math teacher and advisor to the team of students now maintaining the project. It was originally prototyped in the Visual Basic programming language and has since been ported over to the Java programming language.

The School

The Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies, is a highly acclaimed public high school in Edison, NJ. Consistently ranked among the top public high schools in the state of New Jersey and the nation, the Academy is home to an innovative group of students.
